| Details are very important to me. I care passionately about paying close attention to the world around me, and crave understanding about how things work. My job as a photographer is to share that insight with the viewer, inviting them to share my vision of what’s essential or beautiful or compelling about the subject. In my best work, the process of making the picture is invisible, the image becomes a conduit between viewer and subject, and the viewer is inspired to spend a little more time enjoying the things that matter most: the details.
