About Darren Setlow

I’m a commercial and architectural photographer living with my wife and two sons on the coast of Maine, near Portland.  Details are very important to me. I care passionately about paying close attention to the world around me, and crave understanding about how things work. My job as a photographer is to share that insight with the viewer, inviting them into my vision of what’s essential, beautiful, and compelling about the subject. The process of making the picture should be invisible, so the image becomes a connection with the viewer to invite them to spend a little more time enjoying the things that matter most: the details.

My experience ranges from location to studio for interior designers, architects, builders, home furnishings and accessories catalogs, and magazines. Serving clients from Maine to Virginia and beyond.
